This is how it was in the past, this is what Gaga did at the beginning of TF, she really toured hard to promote the album even if it was out, not so many people heard anything more than PF..

What you are describing is what the capitalist tours companies and labels made you think about music and tours.. a tour shouldn't cost too much, this is unfair for fans imo..

(anyway we are reaaaly going off topic)

yeah we really deviated here lol.

I don't think so, it was not that popular, the singles were a flop after another, it didn't make any impact, nothing.. it only made some headlines with the first video and then.. nothing..

Maybe the tour is sold out and all that.. but the majority who bought the tickets are not super fans, most of them didn't buy the album or streamed it fully.. they are going for the old songs.. tours should come before releasing the album and there you can promote it.. all the tour-album release is just dumb but it's another topic..

Little monsters call MR a hit because it peaked #4 for ONLY one week but call LWYMMD and RFI flops:vegas:

LWYMMD went #1 so it was a hit and spent 2 months top 10, RFI peaked #4 like MR and both spent 22 weeks, so far Taylor has release 2 hits in this era.

Delicate is still charting will probably reach top 20 next week

You can say that Taylor is underperforming by her standards but calling her singles a flop is a reach.

Reputation has sold 3m in the US alone and reached 1B streams so I think you should check the facts. I'm not delusional I know TS is underperforming a little bit but your whole reply is a reach.

This is a lie. Reputation isn't impactful in any way. But I'm sure she's winning something since they also had the guts to award her two Album Of The Year. I love her music but we can't deny it is mediocre.

that's subjective :vegas: and stop saying ''we'' don't generalize.

her lyrics are good and the production of her songs are also good in my opinion.

I think it deserves a Best Pop Vocal Album nomination but not Album of the Year. I feel like it isn't as huge as 1989 was and the songs are autotuned too much. Like it doesn't really showcase her vocals.

Also since Look What You Made Me Do wasn't nominated last year, I'm not sure which single will get nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance, again I don't think she will get nominated for Song of the Year because the lead single is the only #1 hit and it wasn't nominated. Delicate seems like a better choice than ...Ready for It? but it isn't a big hit.

So maybe one to two nominations for Reputation.

I don't think so.

Taylor Swift's lead singles usually ended up being nominated in the year preceding the year during which her album would be eligible: We Are Never Getting Back Together was nominated, the following year her album Red was nominated. Shake If Off was nominated, the following year 1989 was nominated.

But this time, LWYMMD didn't get any nomination even in the pop field, despite the fact that it was N1 for three weeks. So I think Grammy voters aren't really fans of the new era.

I think Kelly Clarkson and Pink are more likely to get an AoTY nomination than her.

as usual, bringing and trashing gaga just to turn around and around the reality.. the album and the singles are far far away from what her previous albums and singles did, underperforming is the sweet word for a flop..

so as long as we are not leaving gaga out from this discussion, I don't want to continue the discussion with you, sorry gurl (nothing personal, still like you )

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I always compare them both cause that's the only way you guys will understand my points.

You need to understand what flops and underperformance means cause Taylor is not flopping, just because her album is not doing as well as 1989 that doesn't mean Rep is a flop lmao

is like saying that BTW is a flop just because it didnt sell 20m like The fame.

I don't even who you are or if we have talked before so I'm okay with like me or not.

rep has 1B streams and 3m sales in the US, that's not flop.

I didnt trash Gaga btw, I just said that if you think LWYMMD, rep and RFI are flops then Joanne and MR are flops too.

Spoiler

Underperform= perform less well than expected.

Flop= be completely unsuccessful, a total failure.

both are successful albums.

and btw remember when everyone said that ARTPOP flopped because it didnt sell 1m copies in its first week? well, they were wrong, just bc ARTPOP didnt sell 1m that doesn't mean it flopped. ARTPOP underperformed.

IAmNotHere1997

It will win Grammys just because it's Taylor Swift, not because it's actually Grammy worthy.

As a fairly casual Taylor Swift fan, I personally don't think this album deserves anything from the big four, especially AOTY. That said, I don't think 1989 deserved AOTY, but here we are.

If we could turn back time, I'd give Red the Grammy's it deserved.

3 points in and ready for more

I understood why the song isn’t nominated. But the video on the other hand didn’t deserve the snub
