Can Gaga really afford to make another non-pop album?

Gaga's last pop radio hit was in August 2013 "Applause". 

Applause will soon have its 5th year anniversary.

Joanne was a good album and was definitely needed for Gaga to show a new side to her. It improved her reputation among the older generations. But now the question is, can Gaga really really afford to make yet another "experimental" album after ARTPOP and Joanne, and move further away from mainstream pop?

I feel if she does, she might risk losing a big part of her fanbase, as they may finally give up and move on with their lives. My issue is, LG6 is probably the only album we will have from Gaga in the next 3-5 years. In my opinion, this is not really the time to experiment. It's a hit or miss for her.

I don't mind her taking as much time as she needs. But the guests in her studios in the past few days have me concerned. It almost seems like she's working with people who have no names like this Tommy London guy? Gaga's albums shouldn't be a laboratory for new people to learn how to produce music. 

I hope that I'm wrong. But I'd like to see her more often with Bloodpop and people from her caliber. 

And as far as Jazz is concerned, I hope she's doing some cute songs with Tony Bennett which is fine, but I really hope it has nothing to do with LG6 either.

Lady Gaga's LG6 needs to be like Beyoncé's 2013 album. Many people thought Beyoncé was over after 4 and its poor commercial performance. Then she did the superbowl and wowed everybody. After that she released her self-titled album which cemented her reputation as one of the greatest living singers. I'm hoping to see a similar outcome from LG6.

As long as it’s authentic music coming from her, I’ll love it. But dont worry, Gaga is a pop star at heart so shes bound to go back to it but in her own crazy way

people every pre-era say the album is her hit or miss chance and it never seems to be a problem lol

there's no knowing what she's cooking up and she never does the same sh*t twice  if your place in her fanbase depends on her success then those people probably should leave before the door hits them on the way out

the great part about gaga is the versatility, i've come to love it ever since the beginning and if you can't appreciate other genres than pop then you should probably look elsewhere

Her bank account is the thing she's worried most about being able to "afford" anything and I'm gonna go out on a whim and say that she's doing just fine on that aspect. She's proven everything she wanted to, she can have fun and make music she enjoys making.

I don't know what's with the experimental art BS . We want POP music which is real good and makes us and the GP happy and satisfied. BTW and TFM are her best work ever and she was not experimenting with godessess of love or pink hats sh*t.

Born this way sounded like nothing else on the radio or that other pop artists were doing .In fact you can say that about almost all her work, although TF stayed closest to standard dance pop roots.   I would love Gaga to do nearly any genre especially mixing them up a bit. However I would be most disappointed if she put out an album full of current radio friendly fodder indistiquishable from anyone else.  That’s not who Gaga is as an artist.   

Gagas success has never been about being a follower.  She needs to be different and possibly create new trends.

there's a little portion of members here who love gaga's rock efforts and want to see more but please don't walk around with this "pop is better than rock sorry not sorry" attitude cus it's annoying to read

that doesn't mean you have to go like rock, it means next time just say "i would much prefer it if she did pop music like TFM or BTW"

Tommy may not be known (by name) by people other than Little Monsters but he has his own band and they even opened up for KISS and the New York Dolls
