SolidSnake 2,804
This is reality in conservative and Libertarian governments. Businesses need to be forced to pay a livable wage. If a business cant afford to pay one then they do not deserve to exist.

I think something like the equivalent or more than the rest of the top 10 biggest military spenders combined Canada is actually almost in the top 10 for military spending so we're not as innocent on spending on guns as we appear

Because your area, living situation, personal life as the video is the same clearly? Also the Euro is higher than USD so again, not the same at all. Bad Monster Kid 13,140
There really needs to be a federal minimum of $12(even tho that’s still too low). Businesses will have to charge more for services and products to counter balance the payroll.

Here in Canada we never talk about a Federal Minimum wage and it's been left to the Provinces to raise it to what they want I think States should continue to have autonomy over that but simply have political pressure on them to raise it I say this because the economy and cost of living and circumstances vary from region to region and making a standard minimum wage for the whole Nation that suits everyone would be impossible $11/h might get you by better in Kansas better than $14/h would in California or New York Here where I live even in the same Province it's huge the difference. Go to Toronto and a house is $1 Million and a rent $2000 a month plus Go to London which is not a small city and houses sell for $200,000 (1 fifth the price) and rents go $1000 or under (half the price) If even in the same State or Province economic circumstances and cost of living can change so much, at a National level it definitely would! whore 11,447
I’m a student who’s been on $7.50 for the past year, and yeah, I get around for someone who doesn’t live on that wage, but if I had to live on that?? I don’t know where I would be Mad respect for anyone who can pass by with that kind of wage

I get cost of living in rural vs urban areas but even the people living in rural areas can’t survive on $10 or less an hour. I grew up in a small town in west central to llinois. When I go back It’s sad to see friends and neighbors struggling to pay bills and put proper food on the table. $12 minimum is needed across the board in my opinion.
