And did for like 6 years we stan a fashion icon. The impression I get is that NYC makes her feel fierce, confident and driven. It's the place that all her artist friends are, and that inspired her to become a star. And this pretty much always shows in the way she presents herself when she's there. It's totally understandable that she goes to California for a break, everyone needs a vacation. But as fans, who really know nothing about what goes on in her head, all we can do is judge how she appears to be feeling - and NYC is pretty much always where she appears to be feeling her best.
