I googled and found that it takes about 15,000$ to make a song. Carly wrote 250 songs and recorded like 50 songs. So the estimated production cost of E.MO.TION is 1 million $. Because you can clearly see that EMOTION uses hundreds of 80s instruments compared to 1989, which use the same instruments for most tracks and is much cheaper to produce (no offence to my queen Taylor, 1989 is still a great album!) EMOTION sold about 140k worldwide, 9.99$/CD makes 1,400,000$. 13% went to Carly. The rest she had to pay for her producers and songwriters. Her tour grossed about 100,000$. Not enough to make up for the loss Carly invested in this album. I'm so sad and i want to cry. Carly may not be able to afford to make another album. :(((((((( If I were a millionaire, I would give away Carly Rae Jepsen 5 million dollars, tell her that ''you are the world's most underrated pop artist'' and hug her.
