What I mean is that she almost failed with Rated R. She was bankrupt. Loud saved her career. I'm not pressed at all. Read that ****ing thread. All facts. And Justin is a complete flop nowadays. Ahh the karma. There's also nothing solid about his discography. He also built his career on the back of Timbaland's sound.

If Rihanna is talented enough to make a successful album that is Loud, Britney can too. It all boils down to which artist having more talent in this one.

Justin is far from being a flop. Man of the Woods is a #1 album which sold more copies than Joanne the first week (293,000 album-equivalent units). Gaga headlined the Superbowl, so did Justin. Gaga embarked on a tour, so did Justin. Guess what? Justin's box office performance is better than Gaga's.

You can check them out here.

Also Justin produces his own music, Timbaland is just another producer he works with. I mean don't Gaga, Beyonce and literally every other artist collaborate with multiple producers on their album? What's wrong with that?

Look, I like Britney but we don't have to tear down Justin in order to do that.

Who said anything about Rihanna being talented? Loud was manufactured. The delusion. He works with Timbaland in all of his albums. His Panned To The Woods singles were a disaster. He's already canceling dates. There's rumors about how sad he was after the Superbowl backlash... I guess his time is up.

Stop blaming Justin for everything. Beyonce wrote an entire song to diss Jay-Z for his alleged cheating and yet she was praised. Justin did the exact same thing and now he's blamed? What kind of double standards. It's been so long since Cry Me A River people have long forgotten about that.

agree. Justin Timberlake has nothing to do with the fall of Britney's career. The career that he destroyed was Janet Jackson's.  About the tour, Brit is touring worldwide to make up for the loss of money that was invested in making Glory I guess.

It's hard to rewrite history.  And because Britney was arguably the most documented celebrity of the 2000s, it's even harder to rewrite history with her.

whore

Number one reason would be lack of promotion. Glory was actually a solid pop album, but because of the nonexistent promotion, it practically flopped.

Another plausible reason is the actual material being produced. Any (real) Britney fan would agree that Britney Jean was actually a terrible album, especially to follow up the quality and success of Femme Fatale. Some would even argue that Glory has its lows such as “Private Show” and “What You Need” (although they forget to mention how tragic “Man On The Moon” and “Clumsy” are).

Britney isn’t putting her all into the music anymore, in fact I would argue that the last time she focused exclusively on the music was 2007’s Blackout. If she would focus on the quality of the music she was producing, and if her team gave any care at all about promotion, and if she possibly reinvented her image, she would have a phenomenal era.

Tbh this happened more than a decade ago. I'm not saying whatever happened didn't do Britney's career damage at all, what I'm trying to say is that Britney should have learned how to sing live and maybe starts promoting her albums if she wanted success. Rihanna did that and look where she is now. Rihanna is hardworking and her efforts paid off. Britney should do the same.

Maybe she doesn't feel like she owes anybody anything.

Since she still has fans she'll make music for them.

It's actually called being committed and devoted to your craft and artistry, it's not about 'owing fans anything'. I mean at least I think she ought to be a little bit more passionate about her projects.

People were there for her even during BJ, but she wasn't there at all. She does the bare minimum and she hates being the center of attention. She does only as much as it's needed to satisfy her fans and to earn enough money.

She could have still be one of the biggest pop stars, scoring top 10 hits, #1 albums and selling out stadiums, but she gave up on that. She never performed Work Bitch or any other song from BJ live and instead of going on tour she went to Vegas, that's why BJ flopped, she ended her success herself.

She barely performs, never sings live, barely excercises her dance routines, releases only 2 singles per album. However everything is understandable, after all that fame brought to her it's obvious why she doesn't want to be in the spotlight anymore.

Inferno

-Britney Jean flopped because it was genuinely a bad album and arguably her worst.

-Glory had all potential to provide multiple top 40 hits, the problem was radio putting all money and focus on younger artists and kind of pushing brit to the wayside. They only tried with Make Me and while it was a decent attempt, it really wasnt the right lead single. And since it didn't "smash" they just didn't bother pushing anything else even though Slumber Party probably could've been the actual hit that the era needed.

-from a non stan perspective, she can get another hit imo. it just has to be the right sound with a campaign that pushes her pretty hard in order for her to succeed over the younger acts that the industry constantly tries to push even when they flop.
