She will have like the lifetime achievement award or something like that.

But honestly, who needs Grammys anymore, the award lost lots of its credibility. I mean A LOT

Well it's not that important I guess; Miss American Dream, Princess Of Pop, the Legendary Miss Britney Spears only has 1 so :lolly: That proves how shitty they actually are

Yeah I think she will. And Witness was an underperformance but nothing TRAGIC to her career. She is still a force + she got a hit from the album. She is also on American Idol wich helps her image!

I feel like Katy is not the kind of artist who deserves the grammy. Does it sound like a party buffet do you understand me? Someone who's here to serve us party music and nothing else. She does not need a grammy to do her job.

No, if she did, it would've been at her peak, which we know is long over.

They are shitty but I wouldn’t go as far as to compare Britney & Katy. Katy has a bigger voice and her songs are way more meaningful than anything that Britney has put out. It’s a different time in music. Bubblegum pop alone just doesn’t get you Grammy’s these days.

Are Grammys even worth winning though at this point? :gum: The prestige is fading as the institution faces rightful criticism. I think there are more interesting awards not necessarily US based that carry with them more prestige at this point

But yeah, no I don't think so. Teenage Dream so far was her best chance.

I agree but I also feel that Prism was a great moment for Katy in music. I feel like her downfall is choosing these “fun” singles and making these corky videos. On Prism in particular she could have put out some of the more meaningful songs like “Double Rainbow” “By The Grace of God”. Katy plays it safe and she stays in her lane. She also had some very lyrically great and meaningful songs on Witness like “Pendulum” and “Power” but instead she went for the playful “Bon Appetite”  and  “Swish Swish”.  I think her main focus is to put music out that she feels her fans will love in  attempts to top the charts which most artists do. But her choices just aren’t always right.

Just cuz the song is slow doesn’t mean it’s deep/meaningful sis. But nice try
