Economy 52,851
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/04/18/china-is-getting-better-at-fracking-which-sparked-the-us-shale-boom.html China has been improving their expertise and efficiency with fracking and lowering their costs and in a few years they could become a major shale player They do not have as much Shale Oil as the US but their shale does contain very high reserves of Natural Gas which China is rapidly increasing in consumption as the economy grows and as the Government attempts to shut down more of their Coal Power Plants to help with pollution It is unlikely however that shale could ever be quite as huge as in the US as their shale reserves are deeper which makes drilling more expensive and their formations are in remote areas making transportation of the Natural Gas also more expensive Nevertheless it could provide China with a big supply boost to not have to increase Natural Gas imports so much
