This reminds me SO much of what Mary J Blige said about Christina Aguilera, concerning why Christina would never be more successful than Britney

"Britney Spears can’t sing like you, but she will go further than you because she knows how to respect and treat people "

Cardi giving the right response imo.

Azealia giving the typical expected response. Nothing new here Azealia. Love your music tho, even tho I don’t care for your personal opinions I applaud you for standing by what you believe in at least.

You know you lost at an argument when you have to insult people's appearance to make some points :reductive:

“Nicki Minaj is offering some dubious praise for Donald Trump, calling the GOP presidential front-runner “hilarious,” but describing his approach as “so childish.”

“There are some points he has made that may not have been so horrible if his approach wasn’t so childish,” the “Anaconda” rapper tells Billboard magazine in an interview published Thursday.

Minaj says when it comes to the former “Celebrity Apprentice” star's entertainment factor, “I think he’s hilarious.

“I wish they could just film him running for president,” Minaj adds, “That’s the ultimate reality show.”

But the chart-topper, who’s been dubbed a “female rap trailblazer,” isn’t ready to throw her support behind any 2016 White House bid.

When asked to weigh in on Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, Minaj says, “I support her as a woman. Am I convinced that she should be the next president? I still want to be open-minded about everyone.”

The 33-year-old performer, who was born in Trinidad and Tobago, continues of the former secretary of State, “Obviously, I identify with her struggles as a woman. I identify with the fact that when she’s in that room and there are nothing but men there — there’s sometimes something in her that must feel intimidated.”

Hmm seems to me like she’s just being real and honest she may agree with him on some things but she thinks his delivery is still childish. She also seems reasonable and not completely bias too, she believed in Clinton but was still open minded about the others. Keep in mind this interview was done in 2015 :rip:

I want to know when Cardi will drop a track as good as 212 or Anna Wintour though. I like both of their personalities and music though so this is annoying.

What was Azealia's original post? anyone? Need to know for context...

Cardi's response was classy af though, ngl. She hit on the major reasons why people still do not and will not see Azealia as a force to be reckoned with. She's serving me the Vixen from RPDR S10 HARDCORE now that I think of it.

YES, She has a message, and she's fairly woke about it and takes no nonsense. BUT she is also insecure, and petty, and attacks people disproportionate to her own perceived slights... Azealia is also very much problematic, though shes tried to walk some of it back from time to time, I get the impression she says things out of anger that she doesn't mean, but commits to them, but thats just me.

Even in this post, there's like 2% truth. Cardi is Afro-Latina; always has been always will be. She's black, and Latina, and grew up as such. I dont know if shes always embraced it or not until she got into Hip-Hop. That doesn't bother me so much, and I haven't done much research/reading on how she's played up her black womanhood culturally since her rise to fame, but if she's doing it in a problematic light, she should be called out for it. Azealia is more woke than her, but again she also just drowned this truth in salt. Its like that god awful joke, but reimagined, "You want some tea with that salt?"

The kind that pisses you off. Be pressed :firega:

Lol, you wish. You support a pathetic and cruel person who has repeatedly insulted other women in order to get attention, including your fave and a 14-year-old, and who supports animal cruelty. She clearly has serious mental isssues and by defending her ****ed up personality, you look ridiculous. Not very #bornthisway of you

Cardi's reply, beyond the grammar and "correctness", is very thought-out and very well-put. I really appreciate that.

3 points in and ready for more
