Literally I have a similar thing now with a friend of a friend who is apparently mad at me over some BS and trust I have a lot of things, not only to clear up, but to confront him about when we next see each other... But I'm not going to like call the dude because I don't know him that well so it's weird to confront this guy I don't see that often. I know we will both be going to a b'day party in a week so I'll hash it out with him then  

I know it's different because they are both public figures, but it probably would still just seem weird for them to call each other and confront each other about stuff when they don't know each other. I don't even know if they have met in person.

I guess my thought process would be different if I were a celebrity with a massive following.

If I saw fans fighting with each other over a feud that didn't exist, I would make it my responsibility to squash the petty feud as soon as possible, regardless of whether I were close with the other individual or not. Maybe that's just my personality type, though. idk

I follow entertainment/music news pretty closely, and I barely heard anything about the apparent Nicki/Cardi drama until Nicki shed her Crocodile Tears on Radio 1 and released an entire diss song about Cardi. Nicki acted like it was legit drama before when NOBODY was talking about it. She was jealous of all the attention Cardi's release was getting.

Both bridges in the song and the entire second verse are directly about Cardi and the "drama." She ended her hiatus and dropped 2 singles on the release week of Invasion of Privacy. And she brought up drama from 6 months ago that barely existed while calling Cardi out directly in the Beats interview.

Then you don't follow rap entertainment closely because there was a WHOLE lot before that that a lot of rap/hip hop publications, radio shows, podcasts, media was talking about constantly  

Nicki didn't create a diss to Cardi though... In her two new singles she was addressing, mostly, the entire Nicki backlash that she was experiencing way before her beats interview that really started around the Remy beef when the whole "Nicki is the bad guy, she don't like other females" narrative started.

If all you heard is the Radio 1 interview then you are way out of the loop and are in no position to start throwing shots at any girl. There was so much drama and misinformation from Nicki's shady ex being like "Yeah Nicki would be mad jealous of Cardi" before Motorsport was even dropped, to rumours that Nicki was dissing Cardi on Motorsport, to rumours that in her original verse she was dissing Cardi like crazy, to rumours she refused to be on set and shoot with Cardi on the set of Motorsport.

All these rumours have essentially been proven false, but that's only half of the story honestly and so I'm not even going to go into why Nicki ended up upset over Cardi's interviews (although I don't think Cardi was trying to be shady - it's misunderstandings) or any of that kinda stuff because it's a lot.... But essentially what it boils down to is exactly what Cardi just said: small issues caused by misunderstandings that where actually kinda created, let alone blown up, by the media and fans. 

The "Bad Guy" in this story is more-so the media and fans than either Nicki or Cardi imo.
