Her fibro is an excuse when she wants to use it. Her fibro didn't bother her when she flew to UK from US to sing Joanne at the Grammy. She's actually doing nothing at this moment, so I guess her fibro let her breathe right now, and it's not like if she gonna perform or something like that, if she finds time to record music on the studio, she has time to show up in the Met Gala.

Wow, I didn't expect Gaga's doctor to be a member on this forum.

For real though, please don't act like you can judge how fibromyalgia affect her life. The disease is complex enough as it is, and the people who suffer from it already get discredited way too much.

And besides, the way she chooses to spend her time is not only determined by her physical well-being. I can imagine that attending the Grammy's and possibly winning for Joanne was of higher priority than attending the MET just to look cool and shmooze with celebrities.

And just remember: she already nailed this theme dozens of times. If she'd attend, it would be a cool throwback. But it's not like we haven't seen her do it before.

This. Low key this fan base is becoming so pretentious it's insane. A lot of ppl are also becoming huge apologists. Once in a while it's ok to critic Gaga for some of the boring / illogical choices she makes. Not going to the MET Gala a second year in a row is one of them. We get that last year she couldn't go because of ASIB but this year? It's just off. Some of her recent choices are just super boring but w/e. It's not that serious I guess but yeah she is not above events like the MET.

Born this way just invited bratty horrible teenagers into the fandom. Btw was the worst thing Gaga could do as an artist because it made the fans uber reliant on her and vice versa. Purposely creating something to make everyone happy and close to you will invite heartbreak and horror.

I maintain while btw is an amazing album it was a horrible career choice.

She only went to the Met twice. The Met is not that big of a deal.

I'm not gonna be bitter because that's unnecessary and I basically love her unconditionally, but the funny thing to me is how loyal she is to the Grammys and nothing else, even though they're not loyal to her. This is an observation, not a dig.
