The rapper surprised fans by releasing the new track (This Is America) right in the middle of his appearance on Saturday Night Live. It’s his first official new material since 2016.

I’m actually nice.

I know we cancelled him for shading Gaga but I LOVE how provocative and political this video is :tony:

his comment on Gaga was a cheap joke for a laugh- he's praised her before about the Kanye x Gaga tour on his stand up and the artRave tour before he deleted his tweets

We still stan!

What exactly did he say to shade Gaga?

I myself appreciate his work, it's a bold move and a big risk for him but this statement is important!

basically said he was more talented than his peers that went to NYU then name dropped Gaga. Basically just used her name for clout and a laugh

“I went to school with white people who had less talent than me — because I'm talented as f**k—and they're doing way better than me. I went to N.Y.U. with Lady Gaga."

I understand why Monsters would feel bad about this. But if you’re someone who listens to rap, you’d know that this is what rappers usually do. They always say they are better than everyone else. I’m used to it at this point.

I’m actually nice.

He's cancelled after he dragged Gaga a few months ago. Hope it flops x :staymad:

Never expected this from him he seemed so intelligent..

He has a point bout white people having better chances to get achievement for their talent, but to mention Gaga and call her less-talented is delulu :madge:

I'll never stan, like or support a rapper.

I agree with @Chamaquito,

we shouldn’t cancel him just because he shaded Gaga. It’s the braggacious rap culture that is common nowadays. For example, J. Cole is best friends with Kendrick Lamar yet in a song he name dropped him and said ‘you’ll never never a god like me’ (paraphrased) but they’re still friends. It’s just how it goes these days :reductive:

Seems to be trendy lately to talk **** about "lady gaga" when your albums/singles drop. Y'all should live off your own hustle. #Ido
