1 Xtina first three eras where flawless re inventions of sound and image , i agree that shook value was a big part of the Stripped era tho but at the end of the day if the music wasn't good enought she would have been flopped miserably but she didn't , also changing gracefully  from that dark sexual sound to a classic  jazz y rhythm and blues has it's merits as well imo

1. I agree with you, but then since Bionic and until now, it's just another dated music..

About Stripped, it came out right after Lady Marmalade, the girls were everywhere and everyone where hungry for them.. so it helped to boost Stripped a lot! also, Britney was forgotten after the last album, it was not supported by the radio and tv, so in some sense, she was the only main pop girl at that time.. so if I need to choose, B2B is her experimental album and was fresh and unique..

2. I think not, artist is crafting their music, working on it non stop.. not coming to the studio and like "ok show what you guys have for me today to sing".. there's nothing wrong with performers but they are not artists, they have a very minimal role in crafting the music.. everyone can sing today, it doesn't matter the voice, but not everyone can create a song alone or with a producer in the studio...  (but it's not making them bad or something or less interesting and important to pop culture)

It wasn't meant to be a bad point actually, I'm a fan of Xtina and this is how I see one side and I think a major one of her career.

Gaga is obviously based her career on a shock value, we can't deny that.. they still call her the meat dress girl for a reason

Is Beyoncé a musician? Not so much probably
Is Beyoncé an artist? Completely. Performing is an art, artist is the person that executes an art.

Of course Gaga daily will vote for Gaga but honestly Beyonce is pretty up there too. Songs like drunken love vs baby boy is quite a change but of course she's also been around twice as long

 

This is hard to compare but I'd say Beyonce or Gaga. Christina is fairly in the poll too tho cuz she has experimented as well

And now I feel like you're confusing performing and performance art 
Performing IS an art, not anybody can do it.
Even if she didn't contribute to, she executes it and she is a performing force. Being able to fill a stage like that etc is an art as well and depends on her as a person. Hope I'm explaining myself.
