I’m not just being argumentative for the sake of it, was a political debate - you share your thoughts, I share mine, and we debate over the parts we disagree on. I hope you weren’t offended. 

Anyway, I still disagree with what you’re saying, about banding together to get through the situation, as if to ignore domestic policy while doing so. Brexit will happen now, whether we like it or not, and Theresa May’s alleged strong leadership for doing so clearly doesn’t exist, so for me there is no incentive to stay with the Conservatives anyway. Besides, fair, generous and inclusive home policy, such as those we’d see under Labour, should always trump the quick economic gains we get under the conservatives. 

If you disagree- that’s perfectly fine! It’s politics, people rarely see eye to eye.  Just don’t come for me personally please.

I don't trust him, he seems very fake to me. He tries too hard with his public appearance to blend in with 'normal' people by getting the train etc, but he had the same posh education as the other politicians. 

I get what you mean by that. He went to a state secondary school though, it was just the prep school that his parents sent him to that is the problem. He’s not like virtually every Conservative politician who went to some of the most elitist schools in the country, like Eton.

UK at the minute is dire. I don’t even think it’s all to do with the government either I think a lot of it is that our ‘culture’ is terrible compared to a lot of EU countries and USA/Can/Aus. The benefits system has ****ed up a lot of the working class’ priories so now it’s better to claim some sort of unemployment/disability benefit than work full time. Then it all gets wasted on alcohol at the weekend or betting shops because we have an awful drinking culture and betting problem. Clothes shops like Primark and big samey supermarkets/retail parks have driven out local businesses from a lot of areas so now every average town in England looks the same while the local businesses get shut down and replaced with more betting shops or vape shops or discount supermarkets. Roads are awful full of potholes and local councils don’t have the money to fix them. Everyone wants to go away to Benidorm or Turkey to cheap resorts so our major coastal towns are becoming run down and shabby. I just hate living here tbh

Or is it that corporations pay low-skill workers so little that even the government benefit pays more? I think it’s more of a reflection of how poor the minimum wage is than the setup of the benefits system.
