DiscoHeaven23 35,007
Billboard: A Detroit radio station has made the decision to #MuteKanye. In a Facebook post on Thursday (May 3), 105.1 The Bounce’s deejays BiGG and Shay Shay elaborated on their decision, sayingKanye West’s recent comments about slavery being a “choice” were the last straw. SLAG 7
So happy to see them taking action against him. Kanye has a HUGE ego, which Bey warned us about some years ago. He thinks that he can make reckless statements and there aren't repercussions. People who try to make excuses for him don't understand because they don't wanna understand. I hope that people don't support whatever project he has coming up and that it bombs. I wouldn't even download that **** from piratebay at this point. **** Kanye Kardashian. Supersonic 49,376
When's the last time Kanye had a radio hit though? All his albums are oh-so artsy fartsy samples, auto-tuned yodelling and white noise since 2012, that's not really radio material in the first place. JohnnyVersace 9,029
This is so overplayed and misinterpreted tbh. Yes, his ego is insane. Yes, he thinks that he's spreading love and enlightenment, but is misguided. Yes, the MAGA hat was ridiculous. But at TMZ, he NEVER said slavery was a choice. He said that the conversation for 400 years was a choice. He's trying to move past history so that progress can be made, but he's going about it in a radical way. People hear "slavery" and "choice" and don't even stop for three seconds to try and understand what he's saying, and that's infuriating. Celebrities are constantly misquoted and misinterpreted. It's happened to Gaga before too. I just wish people would try to have a conversation, and understand, rather than "cancelling" every controversial artist. It's incredibly dull and small-minded.
