Aquaria is amazing but I feel like she's another Violet. Eureka is serving comedy, looks (her goth bald Carmen Sandiego look from last week was amazing) and it's about time for a big girl to win.

There is no systematic process in which black RPDR girls get treated harsher than other races. Just think of all the hated white bitchy queens. 

There are plenty of black sassy queens that are BELOVED. Shangela, Latrice, RU, etc. 

They are sassy. The Vixen is MEAN. It has nothing to do with race. 

Phi Phi isn't white, she's Asian, Ginger is a non-factor and when she was back on All Stars, everyone generally liked her, Alaska was the brunt of hate for 4 weeks and then the tide swung back to universal acclaim because everyone realized Alaska actually killed All Stars 2 and Katya wasn't robbed.

There IS a systematic process to how RPDR queens are treated, Shangela, Latrice and RuPaul are the black token queens. They're literally the "I'm not racists, I like two black queens!" queens. And this is not to insult their stances or brand, that's just how they are comfortable marketing themselves. They rarely state anything controversial/political (except when RuPaul got dragged to hell and back for being transphobic earlier this year). Shea Coulée got dragged to hell and back for collabing with Azealia Banks, Katya & Trixie were not when they said Azealia is one of their closest friends. Aja (who is half black, half egyptian) has to deal with 700 years of faux twitter activists telling her she's not actually black and not allowed to lip-sync the n-word while no one gave an actual f*ck when Katya lipsynced the n-word.

I don't even GET how you could even dare to make a statement like "There is no systematic process in which black RPDR girls get treated harsher than other races." when The Vixen and Mayhem literally got assaulted by a crazy fan last week. Like... you think gays can't be racist?

But ohohohoho, those bitchy white queens have it so hard. Venus D'Lite got sent a snake emoji once and now she has to go to therapy.

I agree partially but I think Aquaria has more finesse than violet.

I'm generally not a fan of bigger queens as I think it's less effort for them to be made up to a degree because its not like you can see their bone structure or wide shoulders/squared hips. If they're hilarious then great but eureka doesn't Latrice me.

How is it flawed? My argument is that black queens are only popular with the broader Drag Race fandom when they don't actually challenge the status quo. Ru's public persona is pretty much the text book definition of every vague self-help book that says "you just gotta love yourself, then everything will be fine! Find your niche and adapt." And if you listen to at least 2 episodes of her podcats, you would that she is actually arch-conservative (and would probably also vote Republican if they didn't hate gay black people) and loves the status quo because it currently benefits her. When she got dragged, and she did get dragged hardcore, she challenged the status quo of what is acceptable behavior in LGBT community (but in a negative kind of way, aka transphobic remarks).

I'm sure The Vixen has no problem being "the bitch", but Vixen does not wanna be "the angry black bitch". Tone-policing is a HUGE thing, not just in conservative circles. Black people are expected to ALWAYS be prim, proper and subordinate when presenting opinions.

This is not just a thing that questions the actions of queens and editors, it's one that mainly questions the perception of the audience. Which is why Aquaria shut up afterwards and pulled her sh*t together, because she KNEW this could be stringed together in a way that could trigger heaps of racist abuse towards the Vixen once the episode airs.

What are you even talking about? Willam was straight up bullied and targeted by phi phi O’Hara most of the season. See- your rhetoric only allows you to see what you want to see, and completely diminish what is actually going on.
