The Fame had such an impact in more than just the music, she was giving her ALL in the crazy fashion, the not caring attitude, being sort of relatable yet superficial yet a force you couldn't stop and the music itself changed the industry which was further impacted by TFM

poppy just keeps saying weird stuff on a youtube channel that isn't even deep or disectable and then puts out standard pop music that randomly transformed into weird vaporwave pop stuff once she gained popularity on the internet

Poppy's concept is under attack rn cause of the lawsuit, but I don't think it is Poppy herself's fault so much as Titanic Sinclar, am I right?

That being said, this doesn't irk me. Grimes is an avant garde DIY genius, I trust her vision.

Reticent to be excited for this because of the current situation with Titanic, however I do concede that I think whatever they drop is going to really good, esp with Grimes on board. Furthermore, Titanic does have a good ear for music imo, that plus Grimes' production could make something really special.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is disgusted by the whole idea of Poppy. While being lame for the reasons already described here, what really irked me is that Poppy is really just a mouth piece/"art project" for some asshole, misogynistic man. I can't believe someone like Grimes is here for that.

I think the problem is that Titanic Sinclair and Poppy are an inseparable musical entity together. It would be different if this girl quit "Poppy" and was out there being her own artist, but Titanic is inextricably linked to her as long as she is participating as this act.
