K. Morgan Asks For $10 Billion Insurance From Canada

The large Texas Company has had enough of years of back and forth dispute and delays and Canada being unable to agree on who has jurisdiction to decide on these projects (The Provinces or the Federal Government)

 

As British Columbia continues to vow to shut down the project (despite Federal Approval) the company now says it will not build the project unless Ottawa gives it up to a  $10 Billion Insurance for the projects high risk

 

In other words, if political opposition in British Columbia or other uncertainties make the project impossible to complete halfway before it's finished, they want promises they will get reimbursed.

I know it's popular to hate on Corporate welfare but I think this is more than reasonable

 

The current political dysfunction on this issue, A province (British Columbia) being very hostile against it and a Prime Minister with a very soft hand not enforcing anything on BC makes this project a very high risk

 

If I was them I'd want insurance for this too

 

I'm just afraid of Alberta and Saskatchewan making good on their threat of shutting off oil and gas to BC as a pressure tactic and sending Canada into recession

Its "Kinder Morgan" that is building the pipeline (if they don't cancel cuz they are loosing patience lol)
