The statement, translated from Swedish, read:

‘Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions. An overachieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress.

‘When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most – music. ‘He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace. Tim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight. ‘Tim, you will forever be loved and sadly missed. The person you were and your music will keep your memory alive.

‘We love you, Your family.’

According to a Swedish source speaking to Variety, the pre-translated speech ‘made the implication [of suicide] more overt’.

Damn :(((( I feel like we never learn about suicides or any famous person in history committing suicide but it seems to be way more frequent than discussed

Rest In Peace

I think he lived and experienced everything he wanted at a young age so it made him depressed. Also substance abuse problems dont help either. Atleast he lived an exciting 28 years. :golfclap:

There can be 99 bottoms in the area but all it takes is 1 top to believe in you.

See? And some people still have the nerve to ridicule/mock mental illnesses.. Some others don't even think it's a real issue.

There needs to be more discussion! The stigma needs to end.

So, so sad. And although suicide is never the solution, I totally get what he was going through. Being a sensitive person who is constantly questioning the meaning of life and looking for purpose is hard and exhausting. Add mental illness to that and it's a recipe for disaster. You keep wishing your brain had an off switch but you can't make it shut up. It's a terrible state to be in.

May his soul find peace :(

I'm not sure you can call it exciting if he ended up committing suicide. Seems more of a lonely and sad 28 years :(

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

You will forever be missed Tim

Today was the first day I was feeling normal after his passing (because I was a Huge Stan of his) and you know, everyday I'm making something to keep him "alive" (sing some of his songs, play them on the piano etc) and like hell always have a special place

Don't get me wrong, but at least I'm less sad if it wasn't because of an overdose
