Back then the music was something fresh, something you didn't hear every day on the radio. Of course, nowadays it's a common thing among most mainstream pop radio stations, but that doesn't mean Zedd has to produce such basic, mediocre songs to fit into whats currently "trendy" in radio music. I wish he could just make something new, something that you don't hear every day on the radio rn. I was so slayed by his live set I streamed The Middle, Stay etc. so much when I got back. I really like how he used the clock ticking sound as the snare. As commercial as the song was, he always tries to add a little character to his songs. So stop trashing Zedd he literally gave us some of the best ARTPOP tracks.
