He literally continued to tweet "Where's Michael's Run The World, Formation or Partition?" implying those are songs that make Beyoncé more iconic than him... :awkney:

Yes, Beyoncé is an amazing perfomer and yes, reasonably the best/hardest working performer of this last decade but her discography is too weak to be compared to MJ's or any other Pop girl's (Madonna, Britney, even Gaga). Her fans have claimed Formation as her magnus opus yet a bigger amount of people dislike the song. Single Ladies is probably the last Beyoncé song the GP actually cared for and that was released 9 years ago. She may have released popular songs in the past two albums but they were made for an specific audience and they have only struck within that audience. If she wants to be bigger than MJ she needs to have a discography as global as his. Because the truth is that almost everyone "likes" Beyoncé because it's become cool to like her but almost no one can sing the lyrics to all 5 of her "biggest songs" and the sloppy dead Coachella crowd proved that.

While her popularity is through the roof in the USA, internationally hardly anyone besides the pop fans talk about her. Her music is basically unknown since the self-titled album.

If any artist surpassed anyone, it's Adele, and even she has yet to prove A LOT because three albums is far from enough.

Yeah.. no

MJ actually created and wrote the majority of his output.

No other star has been as popular and ubiquitous globally as MJ was during the Thriller era. His prime is unmatched. Heck, it could even be argued Gaga's prime was bigger than Beyonce's and made more of an impact on pop music regarding fashion, music videos, etc in the early 2010's.

It’s too bad that Gaga fans here feel insecure about Beyoncé praise, coz the first thoughts I had when reading those tweets were “yes, she’s definitely on his level, and likely beyond,” and “of course GagaDaily will hate this.” Lol

How is she on his level? Beyonce hasn’t had a hit song in over 7 years. She sells a lot of albums but there are several acts currently that sell more than her. She doesn’t have near as many top 40 hits as Rihanna, Katy, and Taylor. She has t even touched the amount of Albums that’s adele and Taylor have sold. She is a great dancer but useds recycled choreography for the past ten years. She is a great singer, but Gaga is on her level of vocals and there are several that are better. So why is Beyonce put on this pedestal when she isn’t even the top performer? Michael dominated during his peak. Beyonce had a peak when she released her first solo album. Then she was successful with single ladies. That’s it.

By the time of his solo career he alredy was damn famous

Like girl, can i get a laugh in t«the audience.

Destiny's Child's success was overrated and dramatized and Beyonce's success is as well. It must be her management that crafted that tale so well it is becoming more and more true.

Cause she's so far from Michael's level of obsession, crazyness.  Justin Bieber and Gaga experienced a brief of what that is, Beyonce enjoys a big success, maybe she is almost like Diana Ross

And girl even then... lol not really at all

But Beyoncé is loved by her fans, isn't she? :poot: That's why they start these comments on twitter about how she's the supreme performer of all time.

Beyonce’s fans are the kind who believe everything the media says. Not saying they’re fake fans. They’re just afraid of liking someone the media doesn’t worship...like Gaga for example :poot:

It’s like they are THAT insecure that they need permission from the media to know who to like :poot:

No way. She's very popular but she's not even a 1% of an artist like MJ used to be

Me too love them both from the start. But it’s considered way more acceptable to like Bey than it is Gaga.

A lot of people are vocally better than him and I do think her dancing is equal to his but she's not nearly as iconic or legendary as him.

well yes, it's true. but she's not in the same environment/ conditions so what she means to culture is probably something different.

A lot of people are disagreeing with him that aren’t Gaga stans, though.

And plenty here have made solid arguments too that don’t sound like insecure fans.
