STOP blaming BOBBY!

Do you really think Bobby is in control of what Lady Gaga does as far as promotion and releasing new music? lol  Trust me, Lady Gaga is the one in complete control.

Gaga decides when new music is due and where and when and how she wants to release and promote it.  She’s more than experienced with what it takes to have a commercially successful era.  She’s not stupid.  I’m sure she knows that the more promo you do the more sales and award nominations etc you’ll likely get.  And as inexperienced as Bobby may be as a manager, I’m sure he too knows what it takes to have commercial success.   To the label, it’s all about making money off Gaga.  So if he wasn’t capable, her record label wouldn’t continue to hire him.

Bobby is simply the middle man.  Gaga decides what she wants to do, and Bobby is the one who arranges everything in regards to contracts being drawn up and performance/promo slots and venues being booked etc.  I’m sure as manager he comes to her all the time with ideas on promo etc, but if Gaga doesn’t want to do an award show or talk show etc, do you think Bobby’s gonna be able to force her to do it? lol

And my gawd, it’s less than 2 years ago that we were bitching incessantly for and got LG5.  Remember #LG5?  Ya.  Since then, just a year ago, we got a brand new POP-af single ‘The Cure’.  We got a new rendition of a Joanne track just this year.  A new gorgeous cover of ‘Your Song’ just this month.  We’re about to get a full soundtrack and MOVIE this year.  And yet there are countless fans in Bobby’s twitter mentions bashing him for being a bad manager and complaining for new music.  New music?  Already?  Seriously?

 

Think about the other fan bases that have to wait 5+ years for new music or albums.  Xtina?  Brandy?  Avril?  Missy?  Sade releases new music every 10 years.  The list goes on and on.  We are spoiled compared to them.

And I’m not saying we should bash Gaga either.  Perhaps certain people need to grow the **** up and stop being so greedy, selfish, impatient, unreasonable and immature.

And leave DJWS alone while they're at it.

i think about that instagram post a lot and it really makes you realise gaga is probably 75% her own manager, she has to chill

some things:

1- You are right, Bobby is the middle man. However, Bobby is the one who brings all possibilities to Gaga in terms of promotion, and the she just says yes or no. Do you think Gaga is aware of all late shows in Europe or Japan? That's her team. If she says I want this and that, Bobby tries to give it to her.

2- A huge misconception here is: "She’s more than experienced with what it takes to have a commercially successful era". No. Her label is in charge of non presential promotion like banners, ads, streaming services, all of that (which is what really makes a difference). If a single flops it's not all of her fault, barely a part of it. Interescope is the one to take the blame for. They just cannot seem to handle their artists properly anymore.

i don't work in the industry but how hard can it be to do some research and see where all of today's music is succeeding and how with all the streaming promo?
