I hope her label doesn’t overwork her now that she’s with child and gives her proper space to enjoy those first precious years. I think she'll take a break after 2018 for her child and not to risk overexposure

I mean 100k is still really good, but come on. ??? Our fave couldn’t even get first week sales like this though for Joanne. Whether with streams. Everyone needs to realize the physical album era is over.

She definately makes some absolute bops, but no one can deny how basic the beats and lyrics she uses/has ghostwritten are. Add that with her being lightskin and having this persona where people are either laughing with her or at her, and you have a huge success known as Cardi B. Sales may be down, companies may even stop putting physical albums eventually (what a tragedy that would be) but streams will never be equivalent to sales, unless you have to pay per stream. Okay why exactly is it a "tragedy" that physical sales are not as important in 2018, or may even become totally obsolete? If anything music is more directly accessible to fans, and it is measured literally every time you continue to play a song or artist. Y'all are bitter for no good reason. Edit: Most LM are bitter because streaming has lifted the hip-hop and R&B charting in the US, because it accurately shows what is being played and listened to most. tea is tea. I think streaming really highlights an artist's popularity whether people like it or not. Albums are dying just like they have been doing since the single era only this time streaming is helping in the eradication of albums. Who knows? maybe in the future albums will return to popularity but as of now, when people say "pure sales this" and "Pure sales that" it does not change the fact the other more streamed albums are more popular
