Migos is such a big thing in US right now. Outside of US Migos is not very well known...

Black Eyed Peas instead had one Top5 Hit after the other outside of US, while Migos biggest hit reached Top 50 in some countries.

Don't get Delulu here, Migos will be gone sooner than you can say ferrari.. :ladyhaha:

sis do you even know about rap/hip hop? they are extremely influential and pretty much every single new hip hop artist adopted their style of rapping

but i'm NOT going to debate that w someone on this website because you have shown time and time again that you only know about white people pop. so this debate is cancelled

I think Kanye popularized that sound/style on 808s and Heartbreaks but go off

I actually agree with this.

The previous points I made in this thread are by no means undermining Afro American culture.

What I was trying to say was Migos’s flow that inspired a lot of new rap songs is kinda like the Justin Bieber dead animal sound, trendy for a while dead in a year or two.

I have also briefly lived in the white world as an ethnic minority (I’m an Asian). Of course I don’t totally get all your struggles just like you won’t get mine. I’m not only giving credits to while pop girls.

It’s just that to me, Migos are too new to be considered influential. If the influential comment was made about NWA or JayZ or Tupac or Drake or Kendrick Lamar or Nas or Snoop or Birdman etc, etc. I would definitely agree with that because these names are proven by time and have influenced a new wave/generation of rap but making a few trendy successful tracks that influenced other few trendy tracks. In GGD language, it’s kinda like claiming Alessia Cara or Dua Lipa super influential. Calling them influential only make sense when they have a much longer career tbh. That’s why I made the BEP comparison.

No worries I didn’t take your comment as racist or anything lmao but I think new artist can be influential. Prime example is Gaga. When Gaga came out, many people started acting more “crazy” and avant garde. There songs started sounding more edgy pop and the dressed way more “Gaga.”

stop trying to hype them honey :ladyhaha:

They will not be remembered in like 2 years

I know I’m late... but no one was hyping them. Since when is telling the truth and giving people credit “hyping” lmao... I mean I guess

Nope hype means making up false facts to make someone seem bigger than they actually are

which is what you did :bon:
