The only difference between Nightride and the other mixtapes is that NR was released through RCA and the others are self-released. You can also check NR's description on Apple Music, it says it's a mixtape. I'm liking the production/overall direction. makes that tropical reggae ton mess fade away for me lol. its almost like, "kelela/fka twigs for dummies" but not in a bad way! she's aligning herself with more progressive r&b and i like that. I mean I’m going to assume that the original concept was scrapped to make it commercialized. Liked a few tracks, my favorite is the title track and I wish that the entire album followed its futuristic sounds/concept.
