Melech 9,900 Posted April 12, 2018 Share Posted April 12, 2018 Chancellor Angela Merkel said Thursday Germany would not participate in an attack on Syria over the suspected use of chemical weapons by President Bashar al-Assad’s government. “Germany will not take part in military action,” Merkel told reporters during a visit to Berlin by Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. “But we see and support that everything is done to send a signal that this use of chemical weapons is not acceptable.” Merkel said a full spectrum of measures should be considered. Germany and any other country will get criticized no matter what they do at this point. If people want to start war then superpowers should step away. Any news source reporting about Syria benefits through profits. That’s literally every country. The real issue is the country that is backing the Syrian regime. I don't see Assad being pressured by Germany that much, even if they went ahead with their own retaliation separately. Also, the messy bit about their connection to the weapons. If the world can live with Syrians dying by Assad government they shouldn't do anything. It's a question of morality and ethics. Also Germany is profiting cause germany is selling weapons to almost every party in the conflict. The gas attack components came from a German company. But in no way is there any outcome where more bad results won't come of it. The only way to get rid of dictators is to assassinate them. Otherwise it's all out war or stockpiling weapons to people that'll eventually wage war in the future. History shows this. If people hate Assad so much then they should target him.
