Gaga Performing Your Song - My Experience

Yes, I'm back. And I have a story to tell you:

So I'm getting ready to start watching the Elton John Tribute (I'm Still Standing), and my mom is just getting home from work. She's tired. But I want to enjoy Gaga's vocal perfection with someone else, not by myself! So I tell my mom that if she stays up and watches the show with me I will give her a neck massage (no, not inc*stuous, don't come for me)... This is the key to her heart, I knew it would work. So she agrees and we sit down to watch the show and she thought all the 'new' artists didn't know how to give a tribute. Then, magically, right before Gaga is about to perform, my dad walks in the room and sits down. In my head, I'm like "YAAAS, slay the straights, Gagz!" Then Gaga starts performing, and as usual, I get super nervous and my hands get sweaty (am I the only one?). About halfway through the performance, Gaga's voice started going in-and-out. There was obviously some sort of technical difficulty, and I nearly threw my phone at the TV, not even lying. Then, unexpectedly, my mom says, "What the h*ll! Why are they doing this to the only *real* artist here?" In my head, I'm just jumping up and down like "YAAAAS, QUEEN". Then by the time the performance is over, even through the audio issues, it's absolutely clear that Gaga SLAYED. My mom is like, "this is the crappiest situation ever, why did they have to do this to," and this is a direct quote, "the best artist that's even out there. She's literally the best. She showed those young ones how to give a tribute. She knows how to tribute an artist." OMG, HUNTIES. I really think I turned my mom into a stan, she is spilling some serious TEA. Is this even real life? She did come to the JWT with me and she said that she enjoyed it... But I think she must have enjoyed it a lot more than what she told me. Like, she was LIVING for the queen. And it was just awesome. Then someone else performs and my dad says, "I think that was my favorite one." And my mom goes right back at him and says, "Seriously? Gaga was way better than that. She's an artist, she played the piano and sang perfectly, she was definitely better!"

So anyway, I just wanted to share this magical experience that I had last night... My mom has officially been converted into a stan, there's no other logical explanation. And I am LIVING for it. Like, seriously, I feel so lucky. YAAAAAAS!

Has anyone else had a similar experiences?

Yes. My mum loves Gaga very much and is in full support of me being a LM. But she doesn't just do it cause I like her she is just as obsessed as I am,she always plays her music when she's on her own and when I was little she let me play BTW and TFM everyday on the school run. She's literally never shocked by anything Gaga does and even found the vomit performance artistic:yay:. She also really likes M.I.A and Beyonce the only popstar she can't stand is Madonna but I think that's understandable lol:reductive:

My dad always comments, "she's always half naked", "she's always swearing", "she's always smoking", "she's way too random", "she's weird isn't she?". I'm like. :selena: Shut up. My mum on the other hand, just makes jokes about the JWT being cancelled twice (she was going to attend). My cousin HATES her. That's all. :)

That's awesome! I had a similar experience. Both my parents used to insult Gaga but I turned my Dad into a fan after inviting him to see C2C with me. He has so much respect for Gaga now and always compliments her when she performs on TV, saying she is really talented. My mom is the most stubborn person in the world and still isn't really interested in Gaga. She did admit that she has a good voice though.
