In my opinion, America needs to stop being the world police. Look at all the times that America, the U.K. and other allies have intervened in the Middle East through military action, and has the situation improved? Military intervention clearly does not work and is not stopping Assad from using chemical weapons. I’m sure there’s other solutions other than more killing. They definitely won't be if we pull out completely. You can't just give up when you're tired of defending the world. Besides, pulling out and becoming isolationists won't prolong American interests throughout the world. The reason we have such an extensive foreign outreach and military bases all over the world is because we want our interests to be continued. I think that we should learn our lessons from previous interventions. Nobody seems to benefit from it, and it fuels terrorism. I think that America does need to step down, but I think it’s too late to do any of this as the damage has already been done. I believe that we need to change our ways since we keep using the same tactics and nothing improves in my opinion.
