But why should this be considered Gaga's fault? This is how the director wanted her to look - she didn't choose it. This is a classic retro, femme fatale look - curled blonde hair, fur stole, red lipstick, diamond necklace, cigarette holder/smoking gun. Madonna does NOT own this image. It was a stereotypical image before she even debuted. Madonna wasn't being original when she dressed like this and Gaga isn't either.
