Look at the clothes she was wearing. It was slime, or leather, or just pants. Nothing too special. It wouldnt look the same without the prosthetics. I'm not a massive fan of the BTW, but then again, those horns and some of the fashion (birth slime, flag bra..) presents the album theme more visually than her others do, and I like it more than The Fame's shoot.. But..Maybe.. it's a bit too obvious? in areas (the subtlety and execution fashion-wise in TFM shoot is lovely).. and in other areas it goes a bit over your head as how things fit in. But as far as looking glamourous, I don't think that's really ever been what her main visual intention has been with her last album photoshoots (apart from the Christmas one). The obviousness was intentional though. Remember in the 60 Minutes interview, I think, she was saying how BTW (the single at least) was meant to be obvious and that she wouldn't sugar coat it.
