Definitely an icon already, but currently a legend in the making :excited2: She has all the goods, she just needs time :nick:

I agree with this. Although I dont think Beyonce has achieved “legend” status as the OP suggests. Shes an icon thats on her way to legend status too.

She's an icon. I don't think you can be a legend until you're gone, personally.

? Mariah, Madonna, Janet, Britney, Elton, Julie Andrews, Patti, Aretha, Celine

i´m pretty sure she already is way bigger than we think.

when stars today refer to madonna and michael as their heroes, 20 years from now gaga will be a much bigger name in that list too.

Yes. She has legacy and impact. And made dance-pop music a thing again during the R&B male domination era in late 00's.

I’d honestly say no!

she needs to have a few present day hits, rather than hits only at the beginning of her career!

The majority of the GP are probably still unaware that she still releases music!

Maybe in 5-10 years she will become one.

Many new artists (who are in their early 20s) cite Gaga as their main influence. If more Halseys and Cardi Bs appear in the next 5 years then all the teenagers will finally realise who is the genius that influenced their idols. Just like how we see Bowie when Gaga rose to stardom. I’m pretty sure half of this fan base have never heard of Bowie’s music before Gaga, same thing will happen when more little monsters make it big. She will be the Bowie of the next generation, therefore a legend.

Talent wise? Absolutely she is definitely a legend. She’s showed off her vocal, songwriting and piano playing prowess to the masses, as well as intimate performances, and in doing so has created some legendary, iconic performances (e.g. her Sound of Music medley at the Oscars, the 2016 Super Bowl National Anthem and 2017 Half Time show, all her tributes etc) and winning awards (I think she’s won nearly every award that exists in music) along the way

Success wise? Well her 2009-2011 era is unmatched for a debut artist. She was literally the most famous human during those years. Poker Face was the biggest selling song of the digital era with over 20 million sold. Her video for Bad Romance was the most watched in history. At the time. But in the years since she has fallen off people’s radar. Luckily she has delved into jazz and acting (her first two loves) and she has received acclaim, winning another Grammy (for C2C) and a Golden Globe for AHS. So, yes, I think her continued success in different spheres will cement her status as a legendary artist (not just singer).

A legend ages the same as a fine wine, or scotch. So yes she will be a legend one days she just needs to soak in that oak barrel a little bit longer.

Its to bad that Her ultimate Rival Miss Madge has been aging like
