I believe she did, I saw a picture on her instagram (I think), that showed the auditioning forms. I don't follow her but I saw that Willam liked it or something. She was obviously one of the top queens in Season 4, Ru basically admitted herself at the Reunion to thinking Willam would have probably made it to the finale, and look at the two challenges that were left: there was the debate--which Willam would have killed, as she's one of the smartest queens that's ever been on the show, and the Bitch Ball. Without Willam's DQ, Phi Phi was clearly going home after her lip sync with Sharon, and Willam would have sashayed pretty easily into the final, I think. kupo 201 Posted May 1, 2013 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Well, I personally think Sharon mopped the floor with Phi Phi during that lip sync. Phi Phi danced a helluva lot more, but that's Phi Phi's style, and if season 4 taught us anything, it's that some queens have a serious problem of not understanding where a song is coming from, and automatically take any occasion they can to fling themselves around like seizuring octopi, all death drops and pirouettes and splits and flailing limbs when they don't really feel right. And that's basically what Phi Phi did here. Hers were not as bad as some of Milan's or Kenya's lip sync decisions, but it felt waaayyyy overdone for "It's Raining Men." That song is pure camp and cheese--especially a version that throws RuPaul into the mix! (and RuPaul herself has never been a death drop sorta queen)--and Sharon tapped into that. Her facial expressions/lip movements, and her occasional camp touch (like lifting her skirt) all felt much more appropriate for the song. But regardless of their lip sync performance, Sharon would have been safe purely by the consistency of her performance. She still had two wins coming after this challenge, but she already had two under her belt, and had been a consistently strong performer throughout, and hadn't had to deal with any of the "you're still growing and learning" stuff that Phi Phi had. I've a feeling Ru would have kept her around no matter what. As for whether Willam wanted to be DQ'd, I've heard rumors that it was basically a plant, and Willam and the production knew it would happen all along.
