I don't get why people still stan her tbh. Controversy and my experience aside it's the same "Im a child trapped in an adults body mmm sexy" aesthetic with the same shake your toy box and see what falls out production with the same tired Cruella De'Vil wig. Coming from someone who used to be a Stan of her, put your time and energy into a more sustainable artist.

  Reveal hidden contents

And yes I get that she is trying to do a Marvel™ and build a cinematic universe but this character only has so much longevity before it starts getting boring and repetitive. I don't have faith that if she was to change aesthetic that she would last any longer I mean we have seen it before and it doesn't end well.

Why you seems so pressed by the fact some people still enjoy her visual and music

Just let them be :awkney:

misunderstood

Exciting that she's continuing the cry baby concept good for her.

There's something so tragic about this chick that it almost hurts

Her music isn't even trash, she's just so frickin unlikable

Katy Perry did it for years with the teenage bubblegum candy airhead character. This is literally the sequel to the Cry Baby album. Maybe it’ll have. A more mature vibe. Who knows

A more mature vibe? Have you even heard Cry Baby?

Yeah sure, the album is delved in thick nursery song instrumentation but its lyrical content discusses bullying, sexual assault, rape, a broken home, toxic personalities, alcohol and drugs, and features social commentary on a variety different topics.

Bottomline, you can't compare the intellectually profound and musically complex Cry Baby to basic, modern bubblegum pop and lyrically shallow Teenage Dream.

Who said I was comparing them? I was simply stating that artists tend to continue an alter ego for long period of time (sometimes even into another album. IE Katy Perry and the Teenage Dream persona.) yes I have heard the cry baby. I actually own it on vinyl. :giggle: chill a little, chica. :chica:

I mean... I love Crybaby. The album and it's videos are very creative, intelligent and conceptual. I know that a lot of it goes over people's heads though which is unfortunate. It's simultaneously in-your-face and subtle.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
