But that's shocking to me. I mean if the US military budget was the GDP of a country it would be ranked ~20th

X3 is now that's China's budget is higher

 

USA used to be a solid 5X more than the #2 when USA was spending $500 Billion and China about $100 Billion 

 

$500 Billion is almost double my Countries total operating budget (at Federal Level and not Counting Provinces and Cities)

 

Of course now it's almost $700 Billion. Wtf murica this is why they can't fix their roads, reduce crowded classrooms and reduce massive deficits

 

The US could be much more prosperous without so much financial drain into military

Not sure why this scares people, it is the natural process of deterrence, if China and Russia have better weapons, the best way to avoid war is to get weapons that are on par with theirs. Yes, there may be a time when an orange idiot might press the button to show he has the bigger ****, but upgrading our weaponry is meant to help stopping that, not the other way around.

It is a forced peace, but it has worked so far, hasnt it?
