Looks like it.

Wide Awake has some chance, but it's dropping and the new week has barely even arrived. Out of the Top 10 music videos on VEVO, the song has the lowest number of views after the period and marketing it got, and it's getting less and less views everyday. Ellie Goulding and Flo Rida are getting decent updates on radio.

Also, honey, there's a Katy thread in Music down below.

I never denied that Ellie Goulding and Whistle aren't gaining rapidly on the radio. Lights will overtake Wide Awake sometime this week, and Whistle will claim the top spot a few weeks from now. However, in terms of this week, Katy is still on top of Chr/Pop. Whistle is gaining rapidly, but it still has to climb 13 positions and gain about 7,000 spins before he tops the radio. I'm sure it'll happen, but not this week.

Sales - Flo 237k, CMM 179k, Katy 151k, Pay 119k

Radio - Pay 128m, Perry 117m, CMM 109m, Flo 53m

On Demand - CMM 915k, Pay 763k, Flo 614k, Katy 580k

That was last week. The problem for Katy is that if Flo is outselling her almost 2-1 and ahead on streaming, that can overcomes her being ahead 2-1 on airplay, Carly is still selling about 75% of Flo and is ahead on streaming, so is okay for one more week.

Okay so pretty much, CMM is on top this week, WA is cockblocked, and Whistle is most likely to top the BB100 next week.

Whaaaaaa? :omg:

'Wide Awake' not going #1 this week?! Are we positive? :ohno:

If you follow Magoo's predictions, it seems apparent that it won't get #1

I wonder if this new Drake/Aaliyah track is gonna get official release. I hope not tbh; it wouldn't do well on the rnb chart let alone pop. -_-

Poor Carly she'll never be able to top her first hit. That's sad, almost on lock for a one hit wonder.

If her card were played right, her label would have kept a smash hit 2nd single like Gaga did with Pf yet slaying with JD, breaking the one hit wonder image.

BB Hot 100 calculations for the week based on all 7 days of itunes bars, current airplay and a streaming estimate7

#position, sales (000's) + airplay (A.I. millions) + streaming (20Ks) = points*, artist, song, (change on Hot 100)

#1 170 + 143 + 42 = 264 Carly Rae Jepsen CMM (=)

#2 230 + 75 + 34 = 242 Flo Rida Whistle (+2)

#3 133 + 162 + 29 = 242 Katy Perry WA (-1)

#4 119 + 153 + 40 = 237 Ellie Goulding Lights (+1)

#5 104 + 166 + 36 = 233 Maroon 5 Payphone ft. Khalifa (-2)

#6 77 + 133 + 36 = 190 Gotye STIUTK ft Kimbra (=)

#7 53 + 148 + 18 = 168 Rihanna WHYB (=)

#8 238 + 7 + - = 160 Phillip Phillips Home

#9 87 + 98 + 27 = 160 David Guetta + Sia Titanium (=)

#10 148 + 40 + 28 = 155 Fun. SN (+1)

#11 120 + 83 + 5 = 148 P!nk BM1LK (-1)

#12 58 + 112 + 17 = 142 Usher Scream (-3)

#13 123 + 50 + 16 = 135 Cher Lloyd WUB (-1)

#14 119 + 50 + 14 = 131 Owl City + Carly Rae Jepsen GT (-1)

#15 124 + 38 + 14 = 124 Justin Bieber ALAYLM (+13)

#16 67 + 62 + 30 = 122 Kanye West Mercy (-2)

#17 58 + 84 + 14 = 117 Demi Lovato GYHAB (+1)

#18 75 + 64 + 18 = 117 Neon Trees ET (+1)

#19 57 + 95 + 5 = 116 Calvin Harris Let's Go (-2)

#20 43 + 68 + 34 = 115 Fun. WAY ft. Monae (-5)

#21 45 + 73 + 24 = 110 One Direction WMYB (-5)

#22 95 + 49 + 5 = 105 Little Big Town Pontoon (=)

#23 48 + 62 + 21 = 100 Nicki Minaj Starships (-3)

#24 38 + 61 + 22 = 95 Flo Rida WO ft Sia (-3)

#25 75 + 35 + 18 = 94 Jason Mraz IWGU (-2)

*points = 65% x sales/K + 78% x airplay (A.I. millions) + 5% x on demand streaming/K

overall points divide up as 44% sales, 42% airplay, 14% streaming

CMM still 22 points ahead on this calculation for a 9th week at #1

Whistle and WA both on same points for #2 vs #3; it'll depend on what the actual streaming is.

Only 9 points between #2 and #5

Approx weekly sales for Gaga: PF 6.0K, TEOG 4.8, JD 4.7K, BR 4.4K, BTW 4.3K, Y+I 4.1K

Okay so pretty much, CMM is on top this week, WA is cockblocked, and Whistle is most likely to top the BB100 next week.

of course Billboard could just change the rules to make whoever they like #1

I'm probably the only person in here that feels this way, but I'd much rather have Wide Awake go #1 than Whistle. At least the former has a little more substance than the latter. But it seems that Whistle will hit the top spot no matter what, so I guess it doesn't matter anyways.
