Professor Hawking's children, Lucy, Robert and Tim said in a statement: "We are deeply saddened that our beloved father passed away today. ALS is deadly disease, and doctorers said he wouldn't live past the age of 25. Nice to know that he left an impact on the science community, and the medical community.
