I think Gaga still has a shocking name. anyway people still create expectations about her and her return to commercial pop The media would talk about it for a while and curious people about Gaga would check out the new material. zakariah 11,735 Posted March 3, 2018 Share Posted March 3, 2018 Not to sound harsh & all but I don't think the GP/media would care for it tbh, like from a realistic point of view, the media will probably compare it to Beyonce's surprise releases & Black Twitter will 1,000,000% come for Gaga & start saying she's copying Beyonce etc. as if Beyonce invented surprise releases. Also, from a technical standpoint, surprise releases take A LOT of planning & work, and depends on plans not being cancelled last minute or postponed, & we all know Gaga & her team has a little trouble in that area If anything, it would be a gift to the fanbase after a blackout. Infinity Wave 7,635 Posted March 3, 2018 Share Posted March 3, 2018 I don't know what the sudden release of a full album would do for me, I mean It's like when the new season of a TV show is uploaded on Netflix, and you watch it all in just one day It's beatiful, super hyping and more but when you finish it you realize you didn't care about the details and you forgot lots of things and you just have not enjoyed it as you thought you would. The wait for the full album to be release makes the hype increase, and I know that I always hate to have to wait for it but it's actually what makes the album sooo cool when you hear it for the first time! Plus, listening to the singles a LOT of times makes me like them always more, and than the album just sounds so more consistent. I know this may sound strange but everytime I hear an album on Spotify that I just discovered, and from which I didn't heard all the singles and didn't wait for it, I always struggle to get to the end of it. This doesn't always imply that the album is bad or boring overall, because I got to the end of Witness even if I did not like most of the songs at first listen - but I followed the full release schedule and liked the singles. On the other hand, all my hype would increase in those few minutes that the download of the album from iTunes would take lol So, I don't know! I just know that Gaga will snatch my wig no matter what.
