Bradley isn't even that great of an actor, so him being a rookie director doesn't give much confidence. I don't think it's gonna flop. In fact, people saying it's gonna be her Glitter are wrong. Glitter flopped because Mariah had to carry it on her own. ASIB is more similar to the Bodyguard in that as big as Whitney was, Kevin Costner was just as big if not bigger. Although if it has AMAZING songs it could do a Bodyguard, Beaches, Purple Rain, Dreamgirls where actually the movies without the songs wouldnt be that great but they smashed!! This movie won’t appeal to teens or most young adults, which is the most important demographic... jxckk 959 Posted March 1, 2018 Share Posted March 1, 2018 I don't imagine it to flop, you never know, it might have a Greatest Showman level of success, rocky start but the soundtrack is that good it draws people to go and see it which now is happening. Greatest Showman is a slow burner. We can only hope that ASIB gets that also. However its not a big cast list by the looks of it, and none of the cast except Gaga or Bradley would really make you want to go and see it. But we need to remember as mentioned before.. This is a Warner Bros film... They do their research, they know what is in demand... They know what will work and what won't... Ultimately it will come down to their marketing plan to decide how it will appeal to all demographics... So far we know ASIB will feature Coachella and also drag queens... That won't appeal to the older generation either. Drag and modern gay culture appeals to the younger people. This will be up to the studio's marketing team to decide how this will go... Gaga's a popstar, she is now being respected in her area and is making her way to the acting area. Bradley is a big name but it's his directing debut. The writers of the film are known but their films haven't been huge success in the film industry. And Gaga's carneos where in two films considered a flop. It's risky. I think this time the little nonsters are speaking with the mind and not the heart. The hype is real but a lot could go wrong. As we known, there was needed a loan to make the movie.
