I bet good money he’s getting re-elected.

I'd say there is certainly a chance of it happening... which is pretty scary.

We were lazy, complacent, and confident the first time around but now that he's alienated half of his base and pissed off everyone else, there's no way in hell he'll be reelected.

It really boils down to (in my opinion) Democrats and Third Parties offering candidates that are better. If the alternatives to Trump also stink like in this last election, I predict you'll see large groups of people simply stay home and not vote. Since Trump's base will certainly vote (and many republicans will vote for the party), I could see him winning in that scenario.

I wouldn't underestimate him or his base to be honest.

If his actions thus far haven't lit a fire under every sane person's ass to go out and vote against him no matter what then I think we all need to start saving up for our own emigrations.

I know I'm sure as hell not missing a vote.

Btw, make sure to vote blue across the board in November, my fellow 'Muricans :sis:

I already kinda faced the fact he might win again. If he did it once he'll probably think of ways to win again. :/

The Democrats did give a better candidate. Hillary was easily the best and most qualified person running.

I mean, I really hope he wouldn't win. Like, some Americans are really jaded, you see. They will reelect him even if it's the last thing they do, despite all things that have heppened. It happened in the past, more than once.

Oh, I agree. By "better", I was referring to electability based on factors such as being trusted and likable. Democrats would have won with someone like a Joe Biden during this last election cycle.

Yeah, I agree that she was way more qualified than Trump

Joe is my pick as of now even if he's undecided about running. I know of many Republicans that would easily vote for him too.

Me the night before the election: 99% of polls have her winning. This is gonna work out fine.

Election night hits and results come in:

I think if these next two year continue like they are (none of his promises coming to fruition, only negative things happening) Republicans will RUN to whoever the other candidate is. Even though Trump is running again, I think all Republicans are like "we have to stop this hot mess this year." and here will be other Republicans running against him.

As for Democrats, democrats have to learn how to fall in line like Republicans do. And people who are third party candidates should run as third party.

I also really think people really need to get over themselves  when it comes to politics. I highly doubt there will ever be a pure and holy and good person ever in office. Absolute power absolute corrupts. It may not be good to you, but letting the entire country rot because you couldn't pick the lesser evil to win is very stupid.
