Police say Beth Jean Dixon, 63, put her holstered pistol on a toilet tank when she used the school bathroom on Aug. 25. She reportedly forgot about the gun and left. After several students between the ages of 6 and 8 used the single-toilet, unisex bathroom, one child informed his parents – school officials were then notified. No one was injured in the incident, for which Dixon was charged with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of children. There is no statistical evidence that actually arming teachers would actually improve the situation. Just goes to show how powerful the NRA money can be. i think the issue is bigger. we have it in our constitution that everyone is entitled to a gun, and that also needs to change. newsflash the constitution was written in much different times hundreds of years ago.
