Ferrer Zorola 3,966
i’m so confused by all of this... like what is Nicolás waiting for? does he want to starve a whole country or does he want people to clean their sh*** with their hands given the lack of toilet paper?... what is his motivation, why isn’t he taking action, why haven’t things gotten more physical? I see them protesting but... honestly... that isn’t going to stop with protests... can a Venezuelan please elaborate? LIFE IS GOOD

He keeps trying to fix things with more price controls and interventions But Government taking ownership of resources and poorly running them and poor regulations is what caused the problem to begin with Extreme socialism requires a lot of competence to make it work since the Government makes more laws that have to be thought-out and more taxes putting more financial resources in the Government than the private sector for the Government to spend as they see fit A Competent socialist Country results in Countries like Scandinavian lands Poorly run socialism results in Greece and Venezuela

Butters Stotch 5,379
This is absolutely true, and it's very sad what we are going through here, i've seen people literaly eating from garbage bags on the street, and even children. Another thing that nobody else seems to point about the situation in my country is that the government created armed groups, called "colectivos", which make sure people doesn't start riots, and as soon as they start, they are capable of even killing whoever participates in those riots. And the state knows about it because they created them, and authorities are going to do absolutely nothing about it. Anyway, this crisis is not going to be fixed by riots, because the truth is that we're jusgt being ruled by very evil people who don't care at all about venezuelans, and won't think twice for killing anyone who stands on their way. The worst part is the i'm not even trying to be funny. In more serious talks, the multiple monetary changes make it easy for government people to obtain cheap dollars rather than the dollar that the market places, which would be the black dollar with the price controls.
