The National Anthem at a sporting event isn't really the time to take artistic risks. The song is what it is. I think Fergie is majorly talented, but perhaps she could try putting some of that "ingenuity" into her music instead.

1. A twink who types complaints with his cellphone is not going to say “who cares about the fking flag” just because he wants to defend an indefensible “artist”.

2. Thousands in the US Army didn’t just die or end insane for their people for nothing.

3. I’m not American but I can’t feel nothing but RESPECT for the way they love their country. I wish I was a patriot but Mexico always finds new ways to embarrass me, I don’t even know the National Anthem. I don’t feel proud about my roots so if an entire nation can enjoy that LET THEM HAVE IT. 

You can come for their nationalism all you want but honey don’t do it just to defend a person that makes such stupid choices.

also, do you want America to be like whew another bad performance, next? She/you/I know their not like that. It was cristal clear that she was going to receive backlash for this stunt. You can’t tell me this or the Trevor Project speech wasn’t an attempt to be featured in headlines.
