Yeah, I remember watching his review.

Man of the Woods really somehow managed to be one of the most forgettable, boring albums I have heard in a while. That's not to say the album actively irritated me (i.e. Reputation, Paula, etc.) per say. It's just a mess of "modern" sounds (like the reviewer states) that tries to be edge/trendy but fails in most respects.

It's not my fault you couldn't appreciate Witness and you instantly jumped onto the hate bandwagon :bon: how edgy of you

I must admit it's been a while since I've listened to Witness. However, I don't remember it being anything other than a pretty mediocre pop album. :/

He always says anything positive and negative about an album, which is why i appreciate his reviews, they aren't just crawling up someone's ass for people to agree with him, they're his unfiltered opinion. Whether you agree or not is something you gotta figure out yourself and for your own opinion but I like his reviews.

While I now like Witness, it took me a LOT of listens to get into it and it certainly isn't that great of an album. It lacks in direction, it's honestly not cohesive, and it runs 4 songs too long. The album DEFINITELY isn't AOTY material. Not in the slightest. People who hate on Witness have reason, especially when that utter garbage that is Hey Hey Hey is on it. But I agree with TheNeedleDrop... I prefer Witness over Reputation :poot:

I've been digging motw since it came out and turns out i actually like it, it's an interesting album with a few bops but there are songs i'm also not feeling at all

Still, i think it's my least favorite album from him

... and now i just sit in silence.

He's so spot on with this one. I really don't know why Pharrell was Justin's choice for working on a country album. Along with Danja and Timbaland. Working with the same people all the time isn't always commendable, it means your sound never develops and if you want to make a new sound, you might not achieve it well. He's a big name, I'm sure plenty of country experts would have been happy to help him out, to give a more authentic sound. I dislike how he can't just stick to writing a country song, either, this fusion of rural and urban rarely works. I disagree about his assessment of the Hers interlude, though. I thought it was really genuine and sweet. Maybe it comes off a bit cheesy, but hey, that's exactly the kind of feeling I'd like as well. My only nit-picky annoyance is that it should have been named "His" considering that's what Jessica says at the end and she never says "hers" at any point. It was a weird choice of title. But I think his assessment of Supplies was excellent. As much as I like the beat, the whole idea behind it is bizarre and Antony fabulously puts it down in such a hilarious way:

"Yo, girl, I'm a doomsday prepper. I'm a doomsday prepper, does that turn you on? I wanna show you the inside of my bunker, girl. I got 10 months of water down there."
