I think it was just a temporary replacement because the regular one needed to be washed/cleaned.

I'm in the minority in that I prefer that one to her official one (the glitteryness looks too traditionally glam in contrast to the minimalist fluorescent set design on stage, and the wings look like giant craft pipe cleaner). This other one went better with the raver aesthetic she chose for the tour. I think once you choose a theme, it's better to go full force and commit to it. 

Overall, the costumes for this tour were an exercise in bad taste, and there were some missed opportunities. I wish she would have brought out the micro bangs for this since she went for the rave thing, like here:

I also think that boring black latex bdsm outfit was also at odds with the themes of the tour. Why didn't she go for something fun like Spice Girls on acid if she was going to do something as absurd as that chair choreo? Anyway, I feel like the new young stylists possibly have a better vision for edgier, crazier stuff than Brandon, who is more traditional, so hopefully her stagewear will never be as discombobulated as it was during the ArtRave.

It's beautiful! I was at that Vegas show and I loved it. I remember her dreads swinging around like crazy when she did GUY.

But I also saw her in Boston in the angel outfit and that was absolutely magical too.

I prefer it lol Never liked the standard one. Don't think it's an appropriate "rave" opener at all. It doesn't say "fun" or "party", it's something between elegant and cheap but nowhere related to the tour's concept. And I still think it looks too poorly made for it to appear glamorous and expensive (as it should)

This raver outfit meets the concept and the cheapness of it actually works to set the tone for the show. This is a fun dress-up party that may hide some conceptual nuggets if you dig deeply. I can't find any of that in the standard version apart from the over-obvious phoenix rising from the ashes blah blah.

idk how i'd cope with that, especially gaga cus a lot of people describe her as having a certain presence which just triples the impact

maybe you'd see what grace jones saw when she described gaga as soulless
