FRANK1991 3,329
it was disappointing, the 2nd one was so good! I want more of Cloverfield Lane! but still excited to see what's next Cause once you let it go you better know it's gone
Alphaz 7,956
This is all so confusing 3 movies in, and it still unclear how the timeline works I don't understand how's 10 Cloverfield Lane amazing? It was so boring to me I almost fall asleep

weed 73,812
I had zero expectations and thought it was really good! Clearly some massive flaws in plot/storyline, but I liked it regardless

It felt like I was watching a whole completely different movie That's what was so amazing about it to me. The first 3/4 of the film is straight up thriller but you can never shake the sense that something truly sinister is outside. It's tense inside the bunker, and it's not guaranteed it's safe outside as well. Then when you become skeptical that something is really outside the movie does a huge 180 quite seamlessly I might add. The film could function perfectly as a thriller but then to add the sci fi elements was really risky, but they pulled it off. The tension, suspense, cinematography, foreshadowing, script, character development and that overall sense of dread is what also seals the deal. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE TITLE SEQUENCE? I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas.

I would still watch it regardless. It's a solid entertaining film. However, given the standards set by the previous two films, it just had a lot to live up to. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE TITLE SEQUENCE? that movie DID that! had me SHOOK! I happen to love thriller and sci-fi, so it's best of both worlds! the 3rd one was just standard sci-fi like Life, Sunshine, Alien but without any reason explaining what's going on except anything's possible because they created side effects that changed the world Cause once you let it go you better know it's gone
