Dow falls more than 450 points as stocks extend losses

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost over 450 points during trading on Monday as a global sell-off in equities continued on markets across the globe. The blue-chip index plunged over 650 points during Friday’s session in its biggest one-day sell-off since June 2016. The Dow was 1.82% in the red at 25,051.54 points at 7:29 pm CET. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 fell 1.40% at 7:33 pm CET, while the Nasdaq 100 declined 0.77% at the same time.

Markets in Europe closed with losses as well, buoyed by heightened expectations of interest rate hikes as various economic reports last week signaled a stronger global economy.

As a social anarchist, this is great news.  Down with Capitalism! :firega:

Who knew that the move from Late Stage Capitalism to something more egalitarian, altruistic, enlightening and loving may be ushered in during an era of a dumbass failed businessman turned orange dictator.  What a time to be alive!

Also curious as to how business creating monopolies and those that centralize business could be contributing to this (like Amazon).  Maybe there isn't a connection but it's worth thinking about.
