She's clearly defending herself from being publically attacked and humiliated. The trans person needs to not push her agenda on other people. Rose is fighting for female equality. Be one of us or sit the **** back down like she said. In my honest opinion, that's not how you handle a heckler in a healthy way, particularly when she has a history of mental health problems in the past. The other person was out of line for sure, and probably needs professional help as well. Anytime someone yells like that in a less than hostile environment, that doesn’t seem to come off very well. lego 44,165
The headline is a bit one sided, she was defending herself and it’s not easy to react appropriately after all the **** she’s been through. Also I’m not a fan of “she needs professional help” comments, she’s not crazy, this is what her abusers did to her and what they do to all women who speak up, they want everyone to think they’re unhinged and not trustworthy. I'm sorry but I'm under the impression that she is clearly having some sort of mental breakdown and she obviously suffers from PTSD. I'm saying she needs help because I don't want her to kill herself.

I don’t think she would do that, she’s been fighting this battle for so many years, it’s just now she’s more in the spotlight because of the #metoo movement. If you listen to her on The View, she’s making a lot of sense. FreePalestine

She’s been a victim of abuse, and statistically speaking, they are at a higher risk for those kinds of things. Talking about it, or opting out of professional intervention, is not going to help her. They want to borrow from female identity for entertainment purposes, play primarily female musicians/singers in the gay bars, and watch women bicker on the Real Housewives.... but then they'll complain about straight women coming into their bars for a bachelorette party. It's like....alot of gay bars want to completely use things alot of strong women have made or created originally but the idea of having actual women (especially straight) in the gay bar "annoys them". That's the same as someone from the white suburbs doing a fake urban accent to fit in but not caring about the actual communities of people of color at all. I don’t think you’re mocking her. I just don’t like to see so many comments like that, because to the outsiders it means, the things she says are all BS and you can’t really trust her, which is what abusive men in power want. Besides, we don’t know if she’s already getting help. This wasn’t exactly case of a meltdown, I think, she’s only human. FreePalestine
SKANK 14,288
Your at a book signing, the book is about the author's history of being sexually abused, and about her attempts to end a system which enables abusers, so naturally you heckle her for not doing enough to end sexual abuse? Rose's response was dramatic, but reasonable. Fight your enemies, not your imperfect allies.
