It's a good concept, but I feel like it's too "try hard". As much as we like to say that Gaga is experimental, her music is pretty conventional dance-pop in terms of instruments and structure. Yes, even Born This Way and ARTPOP. To call her album Avant Garde, she has to truly live up to that name or she will get torn apart. I'm talking some Björk level ****. Like banging pots and pans together in the kitchen and using that sound as a new instrument. Or literally farting into the mic. We need chords we've never heard before, fvcked up time signatures, ominous whale noises and bizarre keys. Well, maybe not all of that, but you get my point.

But for real: Maybe "Mirrors" if it's a disco-inspired album (or high fashion-inspired :lana::queenga:)

"Mirrors" sounds very good! How did I not think of that

Makes it think that a the greatest hits album full of piano covers would be a true gift for the 10 year anniversary of her career

we all know what happened when she called her album ARTPOP :laughga: (people take things too literally)

idc if it’s cliche or reductive but i’d love a self-titled album that is, in essence, everything gaga stands for on a personal, cultural and social level. imagine the fame/monster/born this way/ARTPOP/joanne combined in a long, 25-track visual album with a strong focus on fashion and technology. she could probably go through with her “volume 1 and 2” concept like she intended with ARTPOP, something like justin timberlake did with 20/20. it doesn’t need to smash, beyonce hasn’t had a true smash hit in a while yet her albums have immense cultural and social impact - i think, like beyonce, gaga is at a stage where she should focus on creating stronger projects that are less commercial.

intel? WIG. inventions that are more than a flying dress? WIG. current and experimental music? WIG. collaborations? WIG. an actual planned era? WIG. self-referencing? WIG. new wigs? WIG.

The Fame Monster

Born This Way

ARTPOP

Joanne

State Of Mind

:sis:

edit: No but really, as long as it's more pop than Joanne, it has great production, and a fully planned era, it could be called Lady Gagitta for all I care

I've been thinking lately of "Crime Scene" or "Element of Crime" Aren't they good album titles?
