thefamebitch 826 Posted July 23, 2012 Share Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) Well I would be willing to bet 25 years from now you would find it hard to find many Gaga fans in high schools around the world also as some other younger chick that catches the attention of a younger generation will have come along. Though whoever that future chick is will probably be compared to Madonna all the time as well.... The reason that I believed Madonna could have stayed in touch with the youth is through the internet and social networking sites. Without a twitter right now, or a frequently updated Facebook, it's not easy for teens to find their "idol" or "queen" or favorite artist. If she would have been on twitter or something where her young fans could see who madonna really is, she would be at least somewhat more popular with the younger generation. Mariah Carey is on every social networking site and has the mind of pretty much a 12 year old diva to this day and she's no more in touch with the younger generation than anyone of her age. The same will befall Gaga one day if she makes it that long. Young people like young artists. Rather, Madonna has decided to forego that to keep the mythos surrounding her. Michael was the same way. They knew the deal. She doesn't want to tweet every day. She's always had a mystery surrounding her. It's complemented her starpower very well imo. BTW a lot of young people DO like Madonna. look at this thread. Look at her concerts. It will air Sunday on "Fantastico", one of the largest Brazilian television shows. The interview is with Zeca Camargo (jornalist and one of madonnas biggest fans in brazil)and it was scheduled for July 18th, but was rescheduled for yearstday. The Madonna interview by Zeca Camargo just broadcasted and he asked her about the comparisons about EY and BTW. She said: "I really like BTW and am very happy that i helped lady gaga to write it.
