Beautiful and all, but why 'Million (times) Reasons'?

She shows up to the Grammys looking like Daenerys mother, pulls out a beautiful piano and dress straight out of heaven, and returns back to another "Million Reasons" performance.

It's not like she wants to promote the song/album because the people who watched the Grammys are the same people who watched the "Million Reasons" performance at the AMAs and Victoria Secrets. If not there, then for sure at the Super Bowl. All the ones that want the song already have it.

I guess it's the nominated song, but that's playing it safe which is not Gaga.

But it's done. We'll move on from this.

It's just sad we couldn't see all of "Joanne" live, or even mixed with another ballad from the album.

Imagine "Angel Down" after Kendrick's performance..:firega:

She wants to make a ballad her signature song. Therefore, she plays it in major events. Simple as that. It's not about playing it safe, it's about building her new image, something she has been doing for the last three years.

If she performed any other song, including Joanne, the impact would be minimal. Performing a song that has slowly become more and more recognisable as a "Gaga" song will definitely pull her off from the "Bad Romance singer" void.

I felt the same, beautiful but I would’ve loved Angel Down or even a more uptempo song like Diamond Heart :firega:

I love Joanne and the era has been great but it’s got kinda tired with so many ballad performances for me (not slating the ballads, she’s been slaying all the performances, I just wanted more for PI and some of the other bops)

show me to me please

LIKELADYAGAGA

because she wants to be known for "million reasons" and she probably knew that singing Joanne wouldn't give it that much of a boost.

BUT.... I wish she would have done SOMETHING to surprise us. Like get up on the piano and sign all dramatic. But it was whatever and I still loved it.

She always has a song that she overplays in every era though  This isn't that different. Remember how many times she performed Speechless during TFM, or You and I (before it was even a single) during BTW?

A concept :applause:

Wish it happened but she needed to close by paying respect to Joanne for a final time

Million reasons though :selena:

Why are you so goddamn triggered? It's a beautiful song and she just proved to the whole arena + everyone watching that she's beyond a good vocalist.

I think by now, the entire world knows Gaga can sing. The shock now would actually be if she lip-sang Bad Romance.

Regarding minimal impact...I disagree. ANYTHING would be of impact. The fact that people might not know the song doesn't mean they won't be impacted by the performance of it. She sang "Million Reasons" and I can conclude that impact was....average.

she wanted to say goodbye to the album....and  tbh Joanne and MRare great songs to do that.....

I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"

Because Million Reasons was nominated for the Best Pop Solo Performance and she wanted to prove it again.

But then Oscars 2.0 happened :stalkga:

Because it's the only song from the Joanne era that was successful and most people seem to love it.

The entire world knows Gaga can sing. But you know how many signature songs Gaga has since Born This Way? None. And from all her signature songs, none is specially remarkable for her vocals. Million Reasons is her best chance for now.

Yes, minimal impact would happen. Seriously, what was the last Gaga performance that actually had a major impact for her? People remember it for the next three days and then forget about it. If she did the whole Joanne, it would be as talked about as Million Reasons is right now. If it was The Cure or any Joanne song with a more upbeat vibe, it would have the same impact her latest The Cure performance had (which was none). Million Reasons has been here for so long that it has a change to stick.
